OSN develops open teaching platforms that make neuronal and cellular mechanisms tangible. Learners can manipulate variables, observe live responses, collect data and examine how the instrument itself shapes what can be measured.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n

A family of teaching platforms for experimental neuroscience<\/h2>\n\t\t
\n \t\t\t

OSN develops complementary teaching platforms that bring electrophysiology-style investigation into the classroom. Each makes a different level of neuronal function observable and controllable, from spiking behaviour and analogue circuit dynamics to the ionic mechanisms that shape membrane voltage.

Used independently or together, the platforms support a progression from introductory practicals to more advanced work in experimental design, data acquisition and analysis.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\"Participants\t\t\n<\/div>\n
